I previously served as an Associate Editor for Criminology & Criminal Justice, Quality & Quantity, and—for a short period—The British Journal of Criminology. At the start of 2025, I decided to publish, review, and edit exclusively for diamond or similar not-for-profit open access journals. I am happy to review papers in any of my research areas for non-profit journals. Similarly, I would love to contribute to the creation of an international journal on Criminology/Criminal Justice based on Open Research practices.

Empirical Research on Sentencing (ERoS) Network

I co-founded and co-directed (from 2017 to 2024) ERoS, a network of empirical sentencing researchers, bringing together academics and public sector researchers. The network is currently led by Dr Mojca Plesničar, Dr Jakub Drápal, but I still lend a hand every now and then.
